"Following the completion of Cannizaro’s assignment for our Trentham Lakes National Distribution Centre, I would like to thank your team for the success that they have achieved.

When we first met at the beginning of October, I gave you a clear picture of the challenges facing the NDC. We had recently opened a state of the art facility with a demanding “ramp-up” programme of throughput, service and productivity already in progress. What attracted me about your suggested approach at the time was the practical focus. The dimension of speed was also important.

Looking back on the project I can see this is what we got. The timetables you laid out for actions and results were adhered to. The actions themselves were pragmatic, straightforward and effective. The extensive time spent on the floor with front-line supervision and staff was instrumental in driving direct productivity. It also highlighted and quantified a variety of process related problems which we were then able to rectify. In a short space of time a significant and valuable impetus was given to our efforts. The key to this was your team’s ability to work well with our people at a time when everybody was under considerable pressure.

I am satisfied that Screwfix Direct got a very good value for the time and money invested in the programme. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Cannizaro again should the need arise.”
