"Following our meeting of yesterday, I wanted to write to thank you for the work carried out by Cannizaro in implementing a business improvement project within Civil Engineering. When we last met during October, I felt that an "end of project" assessment was best deferred until we had had a few months experience managing the new processes without Cannizaro support keen. I am happy to say that having reviewed the system, and having discussed it with front line managers who use it, we are happy that the new tools provide an effective and practical tool for managing our Civil Engineering contracts more efficiently and more profitably.

The implementation process has not been easy. Civil Engineering is a difficult environment in which to implement this type of work, and change is not something that is easy to embrace. The combined team of Cannizaro and Alfred McAlpine staff have stuck to the task, however, and achieved a very successful result. We now have a template for planning and managing performance that works as well in practice as it does in theory. This improvement methodology is being implemented in new contracts as they come on stream and has laid the basis for enhanced results in the future.
